PRODUCTS & MATERIALS
  •  What materials do you use in your jewelry?
All pieces are handcrafted using sterling silver or brass. Recycled silver is always prioritized when crafting new pieces.

STERLING SILVER or 925 silver is a high-quality metal made of 92.5% pure silver mixed with a small amount of others metals (usually copper) to make it stronger. This alloy is the standard in the jewelry industry  known for its beauty, durability and timeless appeal.

BRASS is a warm, golden-toned metal made from a mix of copper and zinc. It has a rich, vintage feel and develops a natural patina over time, which adds character to each piece. Brass has been used in jewelry since ancient times, cherished for its strength and beauty.

  • Are your pieces hypoallergenic?
Yes—sterling silver is hypoallergenic and safe for sensitive skin. Brass is also well-tolerated by most, but if you have very sensitive skin or a known reaction to brass, I recommend choosing the silver version, or feel free to email me for a custom quote in gold.

For brass earrings, the posts are always made from sterling silver to ensure comfort and reduce the risk of irritation.

  •  Will my jewelry tarnish?
Both silver and brass naturally tarnish over time. Silver tends to oxidize and darken when not worn, while brass develops a warm, antique-like patina. You can choose to embrace these changes, or restore the original shine using the polishing cloth included in your order.

Tarnishing is completely normal and reversible. With proper care, your jewelry can last a lifetime. For more tips, see the care guide

  • Are your pieces waterproof?
While swimming or showering with your jewelry won’t damage its structure, it will accelerate tarnishing.

To preserve the shine and longevity of your pieces, I recommend removing them before swimming, showering, or exposing them to water for extended periods.

ORDERS & SHIPPING
  •  Where do you ship from?
All orders are shipped from Montreal, Canada using eco-friendly packaging. 

Shipping within Canada is a flat rate of $15 CAD, with free shipping on orders over $350 CAD.

  •  Do you ship internationally?

Yes — I ship worldwide. For the US, tracked shipping is available at a flat rate of $18 CAD, with free shipping on orders over $400 CAD.

International shipping is available at a flat rate of $35 CAD, with an optional express service for $65 CAD in select countries. 

Express shipping (65 $ CAD) is only available to selected countries:

France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, Austria, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, UAE, and Israel.

If you select this option from a country outside this list, your order will be shipped using standard service and the price difference will not be refunded. If you're unsure whether your country qualifies for express shipping, feel free to reach out before placing your order at contact@ileao.studio, I'll be happy to check for you.

  • What is your production time?

All ILEAO pieces are made to order with care and attention. Production time is approximately 3-4 weeks. I always aim to complete orders as early as possible but if you have a deadline, feel free to get in touch and I'll do my best to accommodate. You'll also find  a small selection of "In stock" and "One of a kind" pieces (coming soon!) which are ready to ship within 1 to 10 business days.

  • How long will my order take to arrive?
Orders are processed within 2 to 5 business days. Each piece is made to order and takes 3 to 4 weeks to craft. 

Delivery time depends on your location and option selected at checkout. You’ll receive tracking once your order ships.


RETURNS & EXCHANGES

  • What is your return policy?

Due to the made to order nature of ILEAO pieces, we do not accept return or exchanges. Eligible items may be returned for store credit.

  • What if my item arrives damaged or faulty?
Please contact me with photos within 7 days of receiving your order, and we’ll sort it out quickly. A 3 month warranty is also included with every purchase to cover any manufacturing defects. This does not include : normal wear and tear (scratches, tarnishing, fading), damages due to improper care, accidents or exposure to chemicals, lost or stolen items.


PACKAGING & SUSTAINABILITY
  •  What does the packaging look like?
Every piece comes carefully packed in an ILEAO jewelry box, with a complementary microfiber pouch, a polishing cloth and a small care tips guide.

If you order multiple pieces, the packaging will be adjusted accordingly—whether that means combining items into one box or including additional pouches and boxes to ensure everything arrives beautifully and safely.

  • Is your packaging sustainable?
Yes! I use minimal, recyclable, or reusable materials in all of my packaging. To protect your piece during transit, I include a small reusable plastic bag. I kindly ask that you keep it—it’s also the best way to store your jewelry safely when not used.
  • Do you offer gift wrapping?

I don't offer gift wrapping at the moment, but you're welcome to add a note at checkout, I'll handwrite it on a special ILEAO card. The packaging is simple, thoughtful, and gift ready as is.
